Galvanometer 3D
A moving-coil galvanometer turns a tiny current into a visible deflection, and this 3D model lets you take it apart. Rotate the view to see the coil sitting in the field of the curved pole pieces, and watch the torque develop and the pointer settle as current flows.
Cara memakai simulasi ini
- Vary the current through the coil
- Rotate and zoom the 3D model to inspect the internal parts
- Change the number of turns and the field strength
Yang perlu diamati
- Deflection is directly proportional to current thanks to the radial field
- Reversing the current sends the pointer the other way
- The soft-iron core concentrates the field and increases sensitivity
Fisika di baliknya
Current in the coil produces a torque ฯ = BIAN in the radial field of the shaped pole pieces. The hairspring supplies an opposing restoring torque proportional to the deflection angle, so the pointer comes to rest where the two balance. Because the radial field keeps B perpendicular to the coil sides at every angle, the scale is linear in current.
