Association de résistances — analogie des péages
Series and parallel resistor rules are easy to memorise and easy to misapply. This simulation replaces the algebra with traffic passing through toll gates, which makes it intuitive why adding a parallel resistor lowers total resistance rather than raising it.

- Adding a gate in series always slows the flow
- Adding a gate in parallel always speeds it up
- Total parallel resistance is always smaller than the smallest individual resistance
La physique derrière
In series, every car must pass through each gate one after another, so delays add: R = R₁ + R₂ + … In parallel, cars choose between gates, so more gates mean more throughput and less total obstruction: 1/R = 1/R₁ + 1/R₂ + … The analogy maps current to traffic flow and potential difference to the pressure pushing traffic through.
