Die Physik dahinter
The equation y = mx + c describes a straight line with gradient m and y-intercept c. The gradient sets the tilt and the intercept sets where the line crosses the vertical axis. Any two distinct points determine both: m is the difference in y over the difference in x, and c follows by substitution.
